It was an absolutely beautiful day in Okinawa! There was not a cloud in the sky and it was actually warm enough to wear shorts; fun fact - Okinawa weather is a lot like Florida weather, temperamental as it goes between hot and cold in the blink of an eye. For the evening, Tom and I planned to check out a restaurant called Poco A Poco: Resort Dining, which was recommended by our favorite Okinawan, Ken, and his mom - Ken owns a bar just up the street.

Reservation List for Valentine's Day |
Just a little back story on why this restaurant ended up being the perfect Valentine's day dinner - For my birthday this year my mom and sister (Katey) took me to a tapas restaurant and I feel in love with that particular kind of dining. When I told Tom about it he suddenly started referencing tapas in all sorts of ways, even giving me the nickname of tapas occasionally. So after we started looking at the menu we realized we had actually picked a Japanese version of a tapas restaurant.
Poco in Spanish means "bit by bit" or "little by little" and the resort dining refers to the atmosphere. The restaurant definitely gave off the vibe for resort dining since we were seated in a corner booth that resembled a couch just long enough for us to sit back and relax. All customers are served an appetizer without asking, which we were fine with because it was delicious - seared Ahi Tuna with Balsamic (first time for me!). We ended up ordering Edamame, Chinese Sauce Fried Rice, Steak with Special Soy Sauce, and Taco Stacks with Salsa.

After dinner, we came home and had homemade chocolate strawberries and raspberries for dessert. It was a perfect Valentine's Day and I was just happy to be able to spend it with my husband! Hope everyone else had a wonderful Valentine's Day.
